Our Accommodation

Location

Hokonui Bed & Breakfast is located on the outskirts of Gore, in Southland New Zealand in the heart of one of the world’s great fly fishing destinations. We are set on twelve acres of farmland with dramatic views over the Mataura river valley to the Hokonui Hills. We have extensive lawns and gardens which border our paddocks where sheep, cattle and horses graze. Despite its private and rural setting, our home is very close to the conveniences of Gore with its restaurants, shops and activities. Just down the road is the local Gore golf course and access to Croydon Bush and Dolamore Park with its many native bush walks.

Our Home

Built in 2004, our modern home has an extensive open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area where guests are very welcome to relax and unwind. Outside, there are extensive lawns, BBQ areas and decking where guests can enjoy the country peace and quiet while taking in the view. Inside is a full size snooker table and access to internet TV and entertainment systems.

Food

Kiwi Full Cooked Breakfast or Kiwi Continental Breakfasts are available to you at the beginning of your day. Home cooked evening meals using local produce are our specialty – you may even be lucky enough to try some of our home grown lamb and vegetables from our farm. We have an extensive wine cellar to suit all tastes. Evening dining is by prior arrangement.

Guest Rooms

The upstairs King Room with ensuite is private and spacious with separate living space with TV, stereo, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Can sleep 2 Adults and 2 Children

The downstairs Queen Room with ensuite has access to outdoor patio, lawn and gardens.The ensuite has heated tiles and wet floor walk in shower.

The downstairs Twin Room can also convert to a large Super King Room with private bathroom, spa bath, heated tiles and wet floor walk in shower. Has access to outdoor patio, lawn and gardens.
